The Hare Linocut

Here is my linocut print of The Hare, iconic magical creature of the English countryside. I wanted to make a print that spoke of late summer afternoons, a print you can almost hear, almost smell. Cut hay and ploughed fields, the rumble of a tractor and the cry of gull & hawk. 

There is so much to see in this print, i wanted an image that felt like a print from a favourite childhood book. I spent many a happy hour studying such images and wanted to make a print of my own that you could look at time and again, to visit as much as to view.

This linocut is printed on Somerset Soft White satin paper, 250gsm  - the image size is 190mm x 300mm on paper size 400mm x 300mm
